Zenpo Full Calendar FAQ

Can Zenpo Full Calendar combine several calendars?
Yes. Up to five SharePoint calendars or lists, each with its own color. All sources must be lists in the same site as the page. There is no cross-site source option.
Can I use an ordinary SharePoint list instead of a classic Calendar list?
Yes. An ordinary list needs at least one Date and Time column and one single-line text column for the title. Classic Calendar lists add three things an ordinary list cannot provide: all-day events, recurring events, and automatic start/end pairing. How does Zenpo work out when an event ends?
From the Event End Date Field, which is detected automatically from a column named like End, End Date, or Finish, and can be set by hand or to (none). With no end value the event is a point in time on one day. An end earlier than the start is treated as no duration. See Calendar Sources: Classic Calendar Lists vs Ordinary Lists.
What time do people in other time zones see?
Each viewer sees timed events at their own local clock time. An event authored as 9:00 AM in a site set to Eastern Time shows as 6:00 am in Los Angeles, 2:00 pm in London, and 9:00 pm in Shanghai. An event late in the day can therefore fall on the next calendar day for a viewer far enough east. See How Calendar Time Zones and All-Day Events Work.
Do all-day events shift between time zones?
No. An all-day event on 7 August is 7 August for every viewer, because it is treated as a calendar date rather than a moment in time. All-day events come from classic Calendar lists.
Which recurring patterns are supported?
Daily every N days, every weekday, weekly on any combination of weekdays, monthly on a day of the month, monthly positional (first/second/third/fourth/last), yearly on a month and day, and yearly positional. An end date works, and end after N occurrences works for the daily, weekly, and monthly patterns. The full list and its stated limits are on Recurring Events in Zenpo Calendars.
What does the Monday – Friday option actually change?
Only the Week view, which then renders five weekday columns, so weekend events are not shown there. Month and Agenda always show the whole week, so weekend events remain visible in those views.
What does the Time range setting affect?
Only the Week view's grid hours (6 AM to 6 PM by default, 6 AM to 9 PM, or Midnight to midnight). An event falling entirely outside those hours is not shown in Week view. It is still visible in Month and Agenda. All-day and multi-day events are never affected.
Why does the calendar look different in a narrow column?
Full Calendar responds to the width of the space it sits in. Below 980 pixels the sidebar is replaced by filter chips. Below 640 pixels it becomes a compact dot grid with an Upcoming events list, and Week view is removed from the switcher. See Full Calendar Views and Display Rules.
Can readers change the view, or only the author?
Readers can switch between Month, Week, and Agenda, jump to Today, filter which calendars are shown, and expand the calendar over the page. The Default view setting only decides where they start.
