Zenpo Banner
Zenpo Banner is a manually configured hero band for a SharePoint page. You set a background, a required heading, and optional calls to action in the web part properties. It is not list-driven. It does not rotate slides or pull a news feed.
What it does
The stack is: background (solid color, two-color gradient, photo, or ambient video), then an automatic readability scrim, then an optional overlay wash, then the content. Content is an optional eyebrow, a required heading, an optional subheading, and up to two CTA buttons.
Find it in the toolbox under Text, media, and content, or type Zenpo in the picker search. It runs on SharePoint pages only. See Find the Zenpo Web Parts in the Toolbox.
In a full-width section the background runs edge to edge. The text keeps SharePoint's 1204 px content measure. Banner also works in ordinary sections. Full-width sections exist on communication sites. The other Zenpo product that supports full-width sections is Zenpo Full Calendar. See Requirements and Supported Environments.
Key capabilities
- Backgrounds: Solid color, Gradient (default), Image, or Video
- Automatic readability: photos and video always get a subtle scrim, even when Overlay is None
- Heading typography: Heading font, Heading weight, and Heading size (28–64 px desktop target). Narrower screens scale down automatically. There are no per-breakpoint settings.
- Up to two buttons: each button renders only when it has both a label and a link
- Focal point: a nine-point grid that keeps a chosen part of an image or video in view as the banner is cropped
- Full-width sections on communication sites
Banner is not the SharePoint Hero web part. It is not a rotating carousel. For rotating slides, use Zenpo Image and Content Carousel. For a text-only page opener, use Zenpo Page Heading.
Limits
- A heading is required. Without one, editors see a placeholder and the published page renders nothing.
- Background video is decorative. It is muted, loops, plays inline, and has no on-screen Pause/Play control. It stands down to the Poster image when a visitor's device requests reduced motion, if playback fails, or if the browser cannot play the file.
- Stream player URLs are not supported — direct file URLs only.
- Supported video files:
.mp4,.m4v,.webm,.mov,.ogv,.ogg - Supported image files:
.gif,.jpg,.jpeg,.png,.webp - Button and media URLs accept
http,https,mailto,tel, server-relative, and protocol-relative addresses.javascript:is rejected.
