Zenpo Birthdays and Anniversaries
Zenpo Birthdays and Anniversaries shows upcoming birthdays and work anniversaries from SharePoint date data you configure. A celebration appears when a mapped date field contains a value. Zenpo does not define how those dates are collected, approved, or maintained.
What it does
The web part reads a People list, plus optional celebration dates from that list or from a second list joined to it. It applies recurring-date math, groups results, and can show milestone badges, send-wishes actions, and optional confetti.
Find it in the toolbox under News, people and events, or type Zenpo in the picker search. It runs on SharePoint pages only. See Find the Zenpo Web Parts in the Toolbox.
It can use the same People list as Zenpo People Directory and Zenpo Org Chart. It does not read Microsoft Graph user profiles.
Key capabilities
- Two date modes under Dates come from: The People list (recommended), or A separate dates list joined by Lookup item ID or a text key. See Connect Celebration Dates: People List or a Separate Dates List.
- Month and day only for birthdays. Birth year is not displayed or used to calculate age. Age is never shown. This is the same in both data modes.
- Lookahead of 7, 14 (default), or 31 days. The window includes today and the last day, and it wraps month and year boundaries.
- Groups: Today, This week (days 1–6), and This month (7+). Empty groups do not render.
- Milestone badges at 1 year and every 5th year (1 YEAR, 15 YEARS).
- Send wishes (prefilled mailto: Happy birthday! or Happy anniversary!) and Chat. Both require the Email role to be mapped and a value on that person.
- Confetti for today's celebrations (default on). The pane note is Confetti fires once per user per day for today's celebrations — never blocking, no sound, absent under reduced-motion.
A person appears when the mapped date field contains a value. An empty cell never renders. That is a data-mapping rule, not a privacy setting in Zenpo.
Limits
- List reads page at 500 rows per request.
- The roster cap is 5,000. An over-cap source is refused. The web part does not drop rows quietly. The message is This roster contains more than 5000 people. Refine the source or use a smaller organizational scope.
- Narrow containers (under 640 px) fold today's cards to compact rows.
- There is no starter-list feature. Bind a People list you already have.
- People marked with the optional External marker are excluded unless Include external people is on.
Licensing
