Licensing and Registration Overview
Zenpo uses domain-based licensing with per-site-collection user capacity. One subscription licenses one SharePoint domain and unlimited site collections. The plan class must cover the largest site collection where Zenpo products run.
Two product classifications

All licensing lives in the web part License group. There is no separate admin surface.
Customer-visible license states
Use these names. They are what the product shows:
- Registration required — the organization has not yet accepted the terms
- Registered — the organization is registered, on an active trial or paid subscription
- Trial expired / Trial ended — the trial period has passed
- Subscription expired — the paid subscription has lapsed; a grace period may apply
- User limit exceeded — the site has more users than the license allows (paid licenses only)
- Unable to reach licensing server — the licensing service cannot be contacted from the user's network
How a trial works
The trial covers the full suite at full capacity and does not require a credit card. This Help does not publish a trial length in days. The product shows remaining time in the property pane.
An active trial is exempt from the seat limit. Seat limits apply to paid licenses only. Trials have no grace period.
Paid subscriptions
Purchases, renewals, plan updates, billing management, and cancellations run through Stripe hosted checkout and billing sessions opened from the web part.
If a paid subscription expires, content can keep rendering with a non-blocking banner during a grace period. When grace ends, the part blocks until the subscription owner renews.
User limit exceeded is a hard block on paid licenses, with no grace period. A site at exactly the licensed user count still renders. The count includes licensable people only. It excludes SharePoint groups, security groups, distribution lists, System Account, app principals, and service accounts. If the count cannot be determined, the part blocks.
Pilot Plan
The Pilot Plan is a no-cost fallback for very small site collections. It applies to the paid products. It activates as a last resort when a license has expired, no trial extension is available, and the site is small enough. It keeps full functionality and shows a persistent Pilot Plan badge above the content. This Help does not publish a seat number.
Free Forever
Six products render permanently once the domain is registered under any status, including Trial expired or Subscription expired. They never show seat, trial, grace, or Pilot banners. See Free Forever Products.
Cross-activation
Accepting the terms in any Zenpo web part turns every Free Forever part on. Accepting them in a Free Forever part activates the suite trial for the paid parts. For Page Templates, the setup wizard itself is the terms-acceptance surface.
