Get Started with the Zenpo Intranet Suite

The first-run path is: deploy the package once, add a web part to a modern page, register the suite, then configure that part.

1. Deploy the package​

A tenant administrator uploads Zenpo Intranet Suite for SharePoint.sppkg to the SharePoint App Catalog and checks Make this solution available to all sites in the organization.

You need to be a Site Collection Administrator on the App Catalog site. After that, authors do not activate the suite on each site.

2. Add a web part to a page​

  1. Open a SharePoint Online modern page and edit it.
  2. Add a web part.
  3. Type Zenpo in the picker search box. Every part carries the Zenpo prefix, so search finds all 18.
  4. Choose the part you want.

There is no Zenpo category in the picker. Microsoft fixes the category list. See Find the Zenpo Web Parts in the Toolbox if a part is hard to locate.

3. Register the suite​

Licensing lives in the web part License group. There is no separate admin site.

  • On a paid part, accept the terms and start the trial from the property pane.
  • On a Free Forever part, accept the terms once. For Page Templates, the setup wizard is the terms-acceptance surface.

A registration completed by a colleague is picked up automatically. Accepting the terms in any Zenpo web part turns every Free Forever part on. Accepting them in a Free Forever part activates the suite trial for the paid parts.

4. Configure the part​

What you do next depends on the product:

  • List-driven parts bind a list or library, choose a view, and map roles to columns. The view carries the order, the filter, and the item limit. See How Zenpo Web Parts Use Your SharePoint Data.
  • Six products can create a starter list with fictional sample rows if you can create lists on the site. See Create Starter Lists with Sample Data.
  • Authored parts (Banner, Simple Blurbs, Intranet Footer, Page Heading, Clocks) store content in the web part on that page.

An unconfigured part shows a Configure placeholder to editors. Readers often see nothing until the part has something to show.
