Set Up Calendar Sources and Field Mapping

Open the Zenpo Full Calendar property pane and work through Calendars, then Calendar options, then Appearance. The License group is documented on Register the Suite and Start Your Trial.

All sources must be lists in the same site as the page. What a classic Calendar list provides that an ordinary list cannot (all-day events, recurrence, automatic start/end pairing) is explained on Calendar Sources: Classic Calendar Lists vs Ordinary Lists. Timed events and all-day dates follow How Calendar Time Zones and All-Day Events Work.

Add calendar sources

  1. Set Heading. The placeholder is Company Calendar.
  2. Select Add Calendar to add a source card. You can add up to five.
  3. On each card, choose List Name.
  4. Choose View Name. Only events in that view will show. SharePoint applies the view's filter before Zenpo sees the rows.
  5. Set Events Color with the full color picker. Changing a color never reloads the data.
  6. Use Remove to drop a source from the web part. The list and its events stay safe in SharePoint.

Map event fields

Per source, map these roles:

  • Event Title Field. Offers single-line text columns. Defaults to a column named Title when one exists.
  • Event Date Field. Offers Date and Time columns. The web part auto-detects a likely start column when you first add the source.
  • Event End Date Field. Auto-detected from a column named like End, End Date, or Finish. Choose (none) for zero-duration events.
  • Description Field. Appears in the event flyout only, never in Month, Week, or Agenda. Rich text is rendered after scripts, styles, embedded frames, and event handlers are removed. Links keep only web, mail, and telephone addresses.

How start and end values become a point in time, a span, or no duration (including an end earlier than the start) is on Calendar Sources: Classic Calendar Lists vs Ordinary Lists. Even with (none), a classic Calendar list still pairs its own start and end columns automatically.

Shared mapping rules (roles, not column names; the view carries order, filter, and limit; changing the list resets mappings) are on How Zenpo Web Parts Use Your SharePoint Data.

Calendar options

  • Default view: Month (default), Week, or Agenda. Readers can always switch. This setting only chooses the starting view.
  • Visible days: Sunday – Saturday (default), Monday – Sunday, or Monday – Friday. Monday – Friday narrows only the Week view. Month and Agenda always show the full week, so weekend events stay visible there.
  • Time range: 6 AM to 6 PM (default), 6 AM to 9 PM, or Midnight to midnight. Events outside the range stay visible in Month and Agenda. All-day and multi-day events are never affected.
  • Show sidebar: on by default.
  • Cache duration: defaults to 5 minutes. Even while cached, each source refreshes as soon as its list changes. Shared cache options are on How Zenpo Web Parts Use Your SharePoint Data.

How these options change what readers see, including "+N more", concurrent columns, and width-based layout, is on Full Calendar Views and Display Rules.

Appearance

The Appearance group includes Color vibe, Accent color (six colors), and Corner radius (default 4). Appearance applies to the web part only. See Appearance Settings: Color Vibe, Accent Color, and Corner Radius.
