Run the Setup Wizard
The wizard installs the layouts you select as native SharePoint page templates in the site you run it in. Re-running is safe. Templates already installed are skipped.
Permissions
Installing needs permission to create pages on the site. Site owners can install even on sites where custom scripting is disabled.
When the permission is missing, the web part shows Site owner needed and: "Installing page templates needs permission to create pages on this site. Ask a site owner to run the setup — nothing is created until they review and confirm every item."
Everything runs under the signed-in user's own permissions.
Step 1. Choose your layouts
All shipped layouts are pre-selected. Clear any you do not want. Nothing you did not select is ever created.
The pane says: "Each layout becomes a reusable page template in this site's own "New page → from template" picker. Geometry and composition only — no sample content, nothing to clean out."
On a team site the wizard adds: "These layouts shine on a communication site — its pages have no left navigation rail and full-width sections. Everything still installs and works here."
Step 2. A Home page? (optional)
Create a Home page is off by default. When you turn it on:
- Choose Built on which layout?
- Set Page title (defaults to the site's name).
- Optionally check Publish it and make it the site home. The pane says: "Your current home page is kept — nothing is deleted."
The Home page is created as a draft so you can review it before publishing.
Step 3. Preview and confirm
The step shows Desktop and Mobile previews plus the exact plan list What will be created (Page / Page template / Set as site home / Setup record (one small file in Site Assets)).
Skip notes read Already exists — left untouched or Already installed — left untouched.
If a page named home.aspx already exists, choose:
- Keep the existing page (skip) (default)
- Create alongside with a new name
The pane says: "Zenpo never overwrites and never deletes."
Primary action: Install these templates.
During install: "Installing your layouts… This runs under your own permissions and takes a moment. Leave the page open until it finishes." There is no Cancel.
The done screen says Your layouts are ready and: "Create a page from any of them with "New page → from template"."
Run setup again
Later visits show a dashboard: "This site already has Zenpo layouts installed…" with Run setup again. Re-running is idempotent. Templates already installed are skipped. Re-running never replaces or upgrades an existing template. It is the documented recovery step if a run was interrupted.
Appearance defaults in the wizard
When a selected layout places a Page Heading, the wizard shows an Appearance group: Color vibe, Accent, and Corner radius. "These defaults are stamped into the Zenpo parts placed by the selected layouts. SharePoint's own parts always follow your site theme."

Error messages

After install
You can remove the setup web part from the page. The layouts it installed are site content and are unaffected. The web part is the setup surface, not a dependency of what it created.
