Set Up and Configure Resources Library

Bind a SharePoint list or document library on this site, map Title and any optional roles, then choose the default view and what a click does. Roles are not fixed column names. The selected view carries the base order, the filter, and the item limit. See How Zenpo Web Parts Use Your SharePoint Data.

The property pane groups are License, Data, Content mapping, Layout, Behavior, and Appearance (web part only).

This product does not create a starter list. Point it at a list or library you already have.

1. Add the web part​

  1. Edit a SharePoint Online modern page.
  2. Add a web part and type Zenpo.
  3. Choose Zenpo Resources Library from Documents, lists, and libraries.

2. Bind a list or library​

Under Data:

  1. Set Heading if you want a title.
  2. Pick Data source (list or library).
  3. Pick a View. The pane states The View carries the base order, the filter and the item limit.
  4. Set Cache duration. The default is 5 minutes (recommended).

The source must be in the current site. Use a filtered view if the library is large. A source over 2,000 items is refused.

3. Map content roles​

Under Content mapping, map:

  • Title (required)
  • Description (optional)
  • Image (optional)
  • Category (optional)
  • Tags (optional)

On a document library, file previews render automatically. The pane states This is a library: file previews render automatically. Map a column only to override them. Map Image only when you want to replace those previews.

Open ▸ More fields for:

  • Footer (optional)
  • Active (optional)
  • Link URL (optional), including The file itself (default) and Item URL (source item)
  • Sort by (optional)
  • Sort direction: Ascending (default) or Descending

Unmapped optional roles render nothing. Changing the source resets mappings. Changing only the view keeps them.

Category is what unlocks Grouped view. See Group Documents by Category in Collapsible Sections.

4. Set the default view and card layout​

Under Layout:

  • Default view: Cards (default), Grouped, or List. Grouped is disabled and reads Grouped — needs a Category mapping until Category is mapped. Readers can still switch views after the page loads. You only set which one opens first.
  • Card layout: Image, title, description (default), Title, image, description, or Title, description, image
  • Card minimum width: 200 to 500, default 270
  • Card height: Automatic (default) or Fixed
  • Fixed card height: 240 to 560, default 360 (shown when height is Fixed)
  • Image shape: Rectangular (default) or Circular
  • Text alignment: Left (default), Center, or Right
  • Description text size: 10 to 24, default 13

5. Set behavior and appearance​

Under Behavior:

  • Click behavior: Open details panel (default), Open resource (same tab), or Open resource (new tab)
  • Hide search box: off by default. The box placeholder is Search resources.
  • Tag filter chips: on by default. Chips come from the Tags mapping.
  • Check link permissions: off by default. For .url shortcut files pointing inside this site collection, it hides the ones the current viewer cannot open. It is slower on large libraries.

The details panel is titled Resource details and shows Title, Description, Category, Keywords, and Date. Copy link confirms with Copied. Opening the resource uses Open document/image/video/link/page or View item.

Under Appearance (web part only), set Color vibe, Accent color, Corner radius (default 4), and Margin (2 to 20, default 12). Appearance applies to this web part only. See Appearance Settings: Color Vibe, Accent Color, and Corner Radius.

Empty states​

  • Nothing to show yet / The bound view returned no rows, or no row has a title value. Check the view's filter, or bind a different column as Title.
  • No resources match / Try a different search term, or clear the active filters.
