Zenpo Clocks FAQ and Troubleshooting
Answers for the world clock on a SharePoint page: whose time it shows, several offices, daylight saving, the caption rewrite, the UTC warning, and two picker entries.
Whose time does the clock show?
The time zone the author configured, not the viewer's. That is the point of the product: a London reader looking at a New York clock sees New York time.
Can one web part show several offices?
No. One clock per web part instance. Add several instances to a page, one per office.
Do I have to change anything when the clocks go forward or back?
No. Daylight saving is handled automatically and continuously, including while the page is left open.
Why did my caption change when I picked a time zone?
Choosing a Time zone rewrites the Location name from the zone label, even over text you typed. Set the zone first, then type the office's own name.
Why does my clock show UTC with a warning?
The saved zone is the deprecated (UTC-02:00) Mid-Atlantic - Old entry, which no longer exists. The clock shows Coordinated Universal Time and says:
The saved time zone is no longer available, so the clock is showing Coordinated Universal Time. Pick a zone in the property pane to correct it.
Pick a current zone in the property pane to correct it.
Why do I see two "Zenpo Clocks" entries in the web part picker?
Zenpo Clocks also ships as a standalone product. A tenant with both installed sees it twice. That is expected, not a fault.
How do I add more than one time zone to a page?
Add one Zenpo Clocks instance per office. Each instance has its own Time zone and Location name.
Does the clock follow my site theme?
Yes. There is no Appearance group. The clock follows the site theme automatically. See Appearance Settings: Color Vibe, Accent Color, and Corner Radius.
