What can Zenpo Mosaic — Masonry Gallery & Cards display?
Mixed documents, images, and links from any SharePoint list or document library in one filterable masonry grid, in three card styles: Image tiles, Content cards, and Avatar.
Can readers filter and search the gallery?
Yes. Readers get a search box, filter tabs (All / Images / Documents / Links), and sort options (View order, Last modified, Name (A–Z), and File size on document libraries). Authors can additionally bind a Filter by (choice or text column) to add filter tabs from a Choice column or a single-line text column.
Can I filter by a column that isn't a Choice column?
Yes. Filter by accepts Choice columns and single-line text columns. Text categories are common when a list was imported from Excel or CSV. The filter tabs are built from the column's distinct values automatically, in alphabetical order.
Why do I see a note about having many filter values?
When your Filter by column has more than 20 distinct values, a note in edit mode points out that the filter row runs long. Everything still works and readers never see the note. It is advice, not a limit.
How does "More like this" choose items?
It looks for real connections: items with the same Filter by value (when you have bound one), or items whose names share meaningful words. It shows up to four, best matches first. Candidates come from the whole bound view (up to 100 items), not only the items currently loaded on the page. When nothing related exists, the section does not appear. It is never filled with unrelated items.
Why is "More like this" empty for some items?
Because nothing qualified. Matching reads the item's name and its Filter by value. It does not read inside documents. Items with code-like or one-off names (for example 36C24726Q0690_1.docx) may have no detectable relatives. The reliable way to get useful recommendations is to bind a Filter by column and categorize your items. Recommendations then follow your categories.
What is "Other PDFs in this library"?
On document libraries, when no genuine matches exist, the details dialog can instead show up to four other items of the same type under a plain heading: Other PDFs in this library, Other images in this library, Other videos in this library, or Other documents in this library. It is a browsing aid, not a recommendation, and it is never mixed with or titled More like this. Lists never show it.
Do my images have to live in a document library?
No. Images added straight into a list's Image column render on cards, the same as images referenced from a library.
What is Archives navigation?
A browse-by-date button for the gallery. Turn on Archives (browse by date) in the property pane and readers get a button next to View order that opens a panel of years and months. Pick June 2014 and the grid shows only items from June 2014. Pick All of 2014 for the whole year. All dates clears the filter. The button is named after the date column it reads (Hire Date, Published, Modified) and shows the current period, for example Hire Date: June 2014.
Which date does Archives use?
The column you pick in Archive date column. It is preset to Modified. You can point it at any date column: a hire date, a publish date, an event date. The button's label follows the column.
Why don't I see every month in the Archives panel?
Only periods that contain items are listed. A month with nothing in it is never offered, so readers cannot land on an empty page. On sources over 5,000 items the web part cannot verify every period, so it lists the full range between your oldest and newest item instead.
The Archives button shows a name like "HireDate". How do I fix it?
The button shows your column's display name exactly as SharePoint has it. Rename the column in List settings (edit the column and change its name) and the button follows. There is no separate naming setting in the web part.
Does Archives use my site's timezone?
Yes. Items file under the same month SharePoint's own list views show, using the site's regional settings.
I turned Archives on but no button appears. Why?
One of three reasons: every item's date column is empty, so there is nothing to browse; the source has more than 5,000 items and the chosen date column is not indexed in List settings (index it and the button appears); or a temporary service problem, in which case the button is hidden for that visit rather than showing wrong periods, and comes back on its own.
Do the Archives year and month lists react to search?
No. They describe the bound view as a whole. Search and filter tabs narrow the grid. The Archives panel lists everything the view holds.
Should I use infinite scroll or pagination?
Both ship. Paginated is the default, with a page size of 12, 24, or 48 and a numbered or Prev/Next pager. Infinite scroll appends items in batches of 6–48 as the reader scrolls.
What happens when a reader clicks a card?
It depends on Click behavior: show a details dialog (the default), open the link in the same or a new tab, or do nothing. The Open link options go to the bound Link column when set, and otherwise to the file or the list item. They never produce a dead click.
Can readers download files from the gallery?
Yes, on document libraries. Each card's More actions menu offers Show details, Open, Download, and Copy link. File classification (icons and Download) applies to document libraries only. A list item is never treated as a file.
Is there a Share action?
No. SharePoint does not provide a supported way for a web part to open its share dialog, so Zenpo Mosaic — Masonry Gallery & Cards offers Copy link instead.
Do .url shortcut files open their target?
No. Open opens the shortcut file itself. Shortcut targets are not resolved.
