Image and Content Carousel FAQ and Troubleshooting

Where does the carousel get its content?
From any SharePoint list or document library on the current site, optionally through a selected view. You map the Title Field, Description Field, and Image Field.
Why does it say an Image Field is required?
For a SharePoint list, the image column is required, because a list row has no file to preview: ⚠ Image Field is required for lists. Select a field that contains image URLs. A document library does not need one. It filters to image files and generates previews.
How many items will it show?
Up to 50. It does not page beyond that, so point it at a filtered view when the source is larger.
Can I stop it rotating on its own?
Yes. Turn Auto-Rotate off. While it is on you can set the Rotation Interval (1–5 seconds) and Pause Behavior: Never Pause, Pause on Hover (the default), Pause on Focus, or Pause on Hover & Focus.
Can readers swipe it on a touch screen?
Yes. Touch and drag navigation is supported, alongside the optional navigation arrows and pagination (dots, bars, or numbers).
Can I match it to my site colours?
It follows the page theme automatically. There are no Appearance settings (Color vibe / Accent color) in this product, so color is inherited rather than chosen. Card shape, height, width, shadow, and border radius are configurable. See Appearance Settings: Color Vibe, Accent Color, and Corner Radius.
The canvas says to configure the carousel
Unconfigured: Configure your Carousel Web Part / Please configure the carousel settings / Configure. Choose a list or library and map the fields, including Image Field when the source is a list.
Empty source: No items found in the selected list. Check the View filter and that the library contains image files if you bound a document library.
